How to Watch Netflix and Other Streaming Libraries With a VPN

Streaming platforms actively block known VPN server IPs, so not every provider works reliably.

1. Pick a provider with active streaming-server maintenance

Look for one that publishes which platforms its servers currently unblock — see our best VPN for streaming picks.

2. Connect to a server in the right region

Choose a server physically located in the country whose library you want to access.

3. Clear cookies if a library doesn't load

Some platforms cache your last known region; clearing cookies or using a private browser window can resolve this.

A note on terms of service

Using a VPN to access another region's library may violate a streaming platform's terms of service, even where it isn't illegal.
